Kwetsani Camp

Palm, Mangosteen and Fig trees are scattered all around the broad and protracted island upon which Kwetsani Camp is built. The island is densely wooded, refreshing and dusky. The camp itself is isolated and unsettled.

Kwetsani Camp is propped up on stilts underneath a shadowed canopy. Guests can stay in five immense tree-house chalets; they are built under thatch roofs using wood, glass and a bit of canvas.

Kwetsani Camp has a view of the cavernous floodplain frequented by Lechwe and Wildebeest. Guests may choose to relax quietly in their rooms, lie in the comfortable pool or spot animals by the camp front. All of Okavango’s large predators make an appearance.

Highlights & Activities

Guests that wish to be adventurous may try their hand at mokoroing. Some of the more serene activities include walking on palm-fringed islands and game drives during the day and night. High flood water levels restrict night drives to one hour around the camp island. While the Okavango annual floods are at an all-time high, boats are used to get guests around the area and to transport them to the islands which game viewing vehicles are located on.

A raised hide located about 40 minutes from camp (which can be used for sleep outs – maximum 4 people at a time, has a long drop loo)
