Mombo Camp

The island upon which Mombo Camp is situated on is enveloped by vast floodplains, with the camp itself being built in and around the shade of expansive Mangosteen, Ebony and Fig trees.

Mombo Camp features nine opulent tents, each of which are elevated off the ground. Guests rooms and conjoining walkways are 2 meters off the ground, which creates the perfect atmosphere for game to amble about unconstrained and yet keep the guests at a safe distance. The dining room, pub and living area oversee the open plain fronting the camp. Guests will delight in the plunge pool that provides some well needed relief on a hot day.

Highlights & Activities

Mombo Camp has ample game viewing opportunities. Lion sightings are almost guaranteed. The Leopard, Buffalo, Cheetah, Wild Dog, Elephant, Hyena, Giraffe, Wildebeest and Zebra are also quite commonly spotted. The Black and White Rhino can now be seen again at the camp, due to the Botswana Rhino Reintroduction Programme.

Laundry Policy: Laundry is done on a daily basis and inclusive in the nightly tariff. “Smalls” are washed in a smaller, individual bag.

Drinks Policy: All drinks are included in the nightly tariff, with the exception of premium wines & champagne, and premium liqueurs & spirits.

Access: Access into this area is only by aircraft to Mombo airstrip.

Flying Times: to/from Maun 30 min, to/from Kasane 1 hr 20 minutes.

Kasane to Victoria Falls 20 minutes but allow additional time for customs and immigration.
