Eagle Island Camp

Eagle Island CampEagle Island Camp dining

Eagle Island Camp can be pinpointed to the Moremi Game Reserve, which is considered to be one of the Delta’s untarnished natural destinations. The area is made up of palm-tree covered islands, endless flood plains and multitudinous waterways. The camps are constructed in a way that makes them synthesize with the surrounding environment. This, in turn, creates an easy-going ambiance for guests to marvel in the sights and sounds of the Okavango Delta. Imperial sunsets are commonplace during high flood periods, and are best viewed from Fish Eagle Bar at Eagle Island Camp or from the elevated deck which towers over the lagoon. Fish Eagle Bar has been voted one of the world’s most romantic bars, and deserves a visit. The area comes highly acclaimed for the first-class wildlife viewing, as well as bountiful bird life and mammal sightings.

Highlights & Activities

Eagle Island Camp’s peaceful water-based setting provides for alleviation, meditation and contemplation. If adrenaline and adventure are more preferential to you, Eagle Island has something for you too. The encompassing islands are ideal for walking safaris, or you could go on a Mokoro and motor boat trip around the countless waterways. The penchant and medley of wildlife will intrigue even veteran travellers to Africa. Lower water levels are experienced between November and March, thus allowing for guests to drive in the open 4×4 vehicles and coalesce a game drive with water action.
