Highlights & Activities

All the activities at Xugana Island Lodge are water oriented. Staying at Xugana Island Lodge means you can partake in the best activities the Okavango Delta has to offer. Recuperate on placid mokoro expeditions in eco-friendly dugout canoes, or if you prefer some action, compound the mokoro trip with walks on adjacent lagoons and islands. Bird watching is spectacular, and fishing for bream and tiger fish can be undertaken as activities at Xugana Island Lodge.

Facilities:

Xugana Island Lodge can host up to 16 guests in spacious raised reed and thatch chalets. The newly redecorated chalets come with twin beds, en-suite amenities, walk-in showers, overhead fans and an intimate deck. The lounge, bar and dining areas are situated under the Fig and Leadwood tree canopy in open sided thatched areas. The cultivated gardens in the center of the island provide guests with an unwinding haven, in the form of a swimming pool. Xugana Island Lodge is distinguished for the exclusive al fresco dining facilities.

Access:

Your arrival at Xugana Island Lodge will be arranged for you by co-ordinating a transfer by means of light aircraft charter. These air transfers operate from either Maun, Kasane (to which you will be transfered to by road, if travelling from Livingstone or Victoria Falls) or any of the other camps or lodges in Botswana. If you are staying in nearby lodges we highly recommend doing a boat transfer as this allows you to experience the Okavango Delta in its own right.
